Year 28

28 years ago I became a Mrs.
I am the Mrs. to his Mr.
The wife to the husband.
The richer to his poorer.
The health to his sickness.
I am the have to his hold.

He is the love to my cherish and the better to my worse.

28 years. To some that seems like a lifetime, to others, we are still youngsters.
28 is one of those off years. A few years beyond the magical 25 and a couple years from 30.
But, 28 is really cool. Just like 3 and 7 and 13 and 16 and 22 and all the other non milestone years.

When you think about it, there are way more non milestone years than not. Totally worthy of celebrating each and every one.We have been married 10,220 days! And they say marriages don't last! I think that is totally worth celebrating!

The thing I love about anniversaries, you get to spend time together recounting the past year or more. Realizing how you've grown as a couple. Planning for future years together and watching another sunset, eager to get started on the beginning of the next year ahead.
Kinda like a New Year's Eve for marriage. A fresh start to last a lifetime.

Anniversaries are similar to birthdays, except you get to share it with your spouse. The day is all about you together. You get to indulge in guilty pleasures that just normally never happen between work, laundry, family life, running errands and making dinner.
This day belongs to us.

Spending uninterrupted time eating whatever meal we want whenever we want.
Reading until you slip into an accidental nap, uninterrupted.
Walking, uninterrupted along the seashore until we are ready to snuggle up by the cozy fire.
Or, staying in bed, uninterrupted, doing whatever you do in bed, uninterrupted.

My challenge for the coming year;
Cherish every day being the Mrs. to my Mr.
Realize daily the joy of being the wife to my husband.
Being mindful always of the richer to the poorer is deeper than financial.
Encourage the healthy ways to care for the sickness that comes.
Respect his hold and appreciate what I have.
Appreciate his love during my worse, in the for "better or worse" part.

For one day it will be, till death we do part.
