Bottomless living

Have you had one of those giant sized bottomless drinks at a bar & grill, servers refilling your drink until you float out of their establishment? Who am I kidding? Who hasn't had one or two or twelve!

They attentively bring you a new full soda before your previous one is even half gone. Kinda pressuring you to keep drinking...like it's Kool-Aid or somethin'...What was that saying from the 70's, don't drink the Kool-Aid? Perhaps they were onto something.

I'm sure many a teenager has tried to set a record of how many sodas one can consume under the title of bottomless.

However, one day they will realize that the bottomless drink does not have bottomless calories, then they will wish they had a lessbottom.

Just sayin'.

Imagine if other things in life were bottomless.

Lattes...Chocolate... French Fries...Pizza...Ahhh, going with a food theme I see. Perhaps I'm a little hungry right now but really happy that those items are not bottomless.

Especially the chocolate.
Ok, to be honest, I do wish chocolate was bottomless.

Continuing on.

Grace...Love...Forgiveness...Kindness...Patience...
Isn't it nice when someone gives grace and love, kindness and patience bottomlessly? Like they have an endless supply of it?

Being on the receiving end when you need an abundance of care is like a soft, warm bed, wrapping you with comfort.

But being the server, that however takes maturity, perspective and vision. To have the courage and difficult reality to look at my own mistakes while looking past theirs.

I have discovered that there is pain in the cost of sharing your life with someone worth missing. To show grace, give love, offer forgiveness, express kindness and practice patience, that is bottomless living.
